Could you possibly post up a pic of these, I think it's a great idea and a helluva lot lighter than a tent. |

As far as ammo goes I will have mags and 150 rounds of ammo for the AR with mags and 75 rounds of ammo for the G22. I have a Recon Commando Vest for this that is not pictured. I intend to conceal this with a light track jacket. Any suggestions? I am always looking for those to make my BOB better. |

Love the duct tape! I hate to say it, but I buy those short expensive flat rools just cause they are so compact. I have never run out.... but Thanks for sharing! |

MH makes a flamless oven to heat the water for 5 20z packs. It is pictured in the upper right hand corner of the layout. I was thinking about getting a jetboil though. |

Some things I don't see:
-Baby/sanitation wipes -Waterless hand sanitizer or some kind of anti-bacterial soap (illness will likely be the number one problem in long term bug out) -Vitamins (processed foods don't have near enough vitamin content to maintain a healthy intake like you normally get from fresh foods) -Painkillers/aspirin? -Lighter, matches are nice but a 10 cent lighter sure makes things easier -container to be able to boil water in if needed -bandana and/or some wash cloths for washing up with -Some of that medical superglue for glueing up deep cuts (works great btw), bandages -Maybe a spare BCG for the AR, if you have an issue, just pop in a new BCG and worry about detail fixing the other one later, spare batts for lights? |

I carry two, 80oz Platypus bottles of water, and 4+lbs of oats, seeds, nuts, rasisn, and peanut M&Ms.
I also plan to carry a bandoleer of 5.56mm in the pack that weights just over 6lbs. Even with this much food, water, and ammo, the whole pack is still only 28.7lbs. |

It seems some people need to spend a lil more time in the grocery store looking at food...
Im not trying to bash anyone, but you can do better for yourself packing and sealing your own food stuffs. As apposed to buying prepacked foods like Mountain house. For instance: I use Rice, mashed potatoes.. The rice uses 4 ounces of water to cook The mashed potatoes uses 4 ounces of water to make.. Can someone post what amount of water they're Mountain House food needs to prepare? I guarentee its alot more than 4 ounces.. Think about it guys, if you can cut down on you water usage/ waste (evaporation) that leaves you more water to consume. Another thing with the Mountain house/ packaged foods, is the Bulk and weght. I wont bother with nutritional value as I dont know enough to bother. I can carry up to 15 days of rice and mashed taters in the amount of space that 3-4 Mountain House meals will take up. Dont get me wrong I like Mountain House, its great stuff. I would prefer to use it in the house and as a last resort being the cost of it, and since it has such a long preservation life... But then you could do the same with Rice to.. So ![]() |

Woops. I forgot to take my 1st aid kit out of the pack for the pic You're right on about the vitamins, painkillers, etc though. I'll get on it. I need to add toilet paper too.
What the shelf life on that tuna? I went with MH cuz i could afford it and it tastes good with a 7+ year shelf life. If I had a vaccum sealer I would use it for sure. I don't take it as bashing in anyway, I am here to contribute and learn man. Thanks. |

Here's my GHB setup. I'm pretty satisfied with it, save one or two minor things. My next project (when the funds are available) will be a full-blown SHTF/BO rig based on a Kifaru pack, out of which I can live for a month or more. THAT is going to be a SERIOUS challenge! |
