Pretty sure Earth Bag houses have been around since the beginning of Mother Earth News, which is since the 70's or so.

Seems like some sort of stucco exterior and interior would be helpful.
Beefier, ie more wood, for the window cutouts seem a good idea as well. Cut out looked puny. I would think you would need 1/2 sized earth bags too, so you can stagger the seam lines. And finally, start building much earlier in the summer if in Alaska! |
