Do they exist?

Thanks!

I've never looked into IR lights, but most of my general purpose flashlights are AA sized, mostly Fenix. I much prefer to use AA batteries in my EDC stuff rather than even the common alternatives. AA's I can find almost anywhere if needed, and I have rarely needed MORE light, I'm usually using my lights on their lowest or next to lowest setting.

I'm looking for a light that can double as a hand held and weapon light around 300 lumens that is IR and white AA compatible.

The surefire M600V AA is close, but it has a weapon mount permanently attached.

Any other options, if not this is a HUGE market opportunity for some company until good rechargeable cr123s are invented.

I've looked for a long time and there really isn't much in the AA market. I think streamlight is about the only one...well, the only one I'd trust to some degree for rifle use.
I have a few of the older Rayovac indestructibles and they are good lights for the money, but far from 300 lumens and not weapons rated by any means.
You may be better off just buying a few cases of 123 batts and a Surefire G2 single output.

You could mate a M300V head to a E2L-AA body.

The streamlights are the main option once you add IR to the mix. The sidewinder compact 2 (that 2 is important) does both single-cell AA and CR123,
where the plain sidewinder is dual AA, and the plain sidewinder compact (no 2) is CR123 only.

Neither would be considered a very bright light by today's standards, but they're very useful nonetheless.

Streamlight specifically disclaims them as being weapons-mountable, but there are rail mount available.

I have a Surefire V2 Vampire that takes 2 123 batts and is switchable between IR and white.  I suppose you could put a ring on it and use it for a weapon light.  I know you said AA batteries but I figured I would throw this out as an option.

I have some military IR lights that are 9volts.

Plug right onto the top of the battery. We would tape them to gear or drop into a pocket.

no white light though.

I think I have a few left that are still in package.

+1 I have the Sidewinder Tac II and I love it...multiple colors, IR, multiple powers...relatively easy on batteries.

This is the best I could do and it's 2xCR123A, or 1x18650.

Good luck, Chris

I use surefire IR lens covers. They have different sizes for different lights.

If you can settle for rechargeable batteries, then you can fit a 16650 cell in a lot of things that normally take CR123's
