Those Damn Dirty Apes!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Economic collapse. In some ways I'm so sick of the entitlement class I'm half looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, I don't want my family to have to struggle through it, but I'm just so tired of these people.

I don't understand...

The 'entitlement class' holds most all the political cards, and keeps the current 'political class' in power.

Don't they?

So why in the world would we expect the entitled/welfare class to get dinged in an economic collapse, that would fracture the voting block for the politicians in power that engineered it  ---and who want to remain in control?

Wouldn't the entitled bunch be taken care for quite a while, as we loose our jobs, our homes, families broken up, expensive food, lose everything and bankrupted due to serious health issues, new restrictive gun laws passed or mandated, etc...

While our poorer friends are pandered to  --for their collective vote to maintain the political status quo during some sort of collapse.

Can anyone help analyze this a couple more steps in depth?

The islamofascists will overachieve something one day, bigger then 9/11, and the rest of the world will have had it with them.

I am there already!

My best guess is financial collapse due to the politicians spending us in to the ground.  At our current debt level and figuring a population of around 320 million in the USA, each person owes 55,485.00.

Now I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't cut a check for my part.

Not at all but it started with the great society and it continued. Make no mistake. Many of our grandparents unwittingly put the chains on us themselves.

I'm not convinced there will be "an" event. I think there will be (and have been) a series of events, each of which will have an increasingly negative effect on people's finances, security, health, etc. I think if we don't get the ship of state righted and back on the right course, the acceleration will continue towards the shoals.

As the economic and social conditions continue to deteriorate, there will be an increase in <personal> SHTFs. Job loss, health care loss, burglaries and other crimes, etc. will be impacting more and more people. On the side of freedom vs. government, we've already seen at least one instance where the .gov decided discretion was the better part of valor instead of precipitating an "us vs. them" armed encounter. I am hoping that was a learned lesson for JBT wannabes - which I believe will drastically reduce that type of SHTF. Funny how that whole Second Amendment thing works, isn't it.

And now that it's getting its slow quiet start, he is calling us racist for not wanting to shoulder the financial burden of millions of people sneaking in from other countries. Yay.

Ackshully, it started way before the 50's...

Johnson was a typical Useful Idiot in a LONG series of them...

They're gotten more bold in recent years as they've tested us and found little resistance.

Indeed.  FDR set us on the path to socialism back in the 30's.

Put me in the camp that believes the dominoes are already falling. If you're not squared away it would be prudent to ramp up preps fast.

today i fear our own government is the biggest threat we face to the future of the country.
