In the past few years I have found along state and back roads:
-A 16' extension ladder
-9/16 combination wrench
-5/8" Gear wrench
-an almost complete set of 1/2" drive sockets (Husky I think)
-framing hammer (near Marathon Ontario, Canada)
-hand cart (almost new)
-screw driver
-two cell phones (called the "home" number and told them to pick them up at the police dept)
-a ladies wallet with 100+ bucks in 20's blowing around and lying in the ditch (dropped off at police chiefs house)
-set of side cuts
-a spade shovel and a flat shovel
-snowmobile trailer ski clamp bar
-a receiver insert for a class 5 hitch (Chevy used them on their 3/4 ton, I lost mine within the first week, had to buy a replacement, now I have a spare)
-20' logging chain
-a tool box full of PVC fittings and a little saw
10 years ago, right after I got my CHL, I found a live practice grenade on an interstate. It was the first time I had to notify when the Trooper showed up. The spoon was crushed but there was a fuse inside, you could see it through the hole in the bottom.
I guess it pays to not text and drive and actually watch the road.
