I've heard good things about the expo in other parts of the country. Anyone have any input on previous shows?

That would be great to attend! If only I knew about it sooner.

Is there someplace that lists all upcoming Survival/Preparedness Expos?

I would like to know this as well.

I'm thinking about driving up from Mississippi to attend this. I've never been to anything like it.

Might be cool to attend.

I read a couple of positive posts on the net that the ones held in Texas and Utah were both good quality and well attended. Someone posted there was thousands of people there at the Utah show. I have no idea though....

I have been to a event like this since the mid-late 90s, when there was a show in Atlanta. It was show only, with no educational seminars.

This one is supposed to have classes and speakers.

Gonna blow opsec here- We're staying at the Best Western in Hickory. It had the best reviews I could find on a decent priced hotel room. I'll be the guy at the pool with the multicam swim trunks.....

Looks cool but I'd like to know more about it. The website doesn't give much of a description.

I would love to attend, but it's a bit far away for me.

I wish there were something closer, but these always seem to be half way across the country.

I' thought I would check in and give you guys a report. Overall, the expo was fun and there were some good speeches.

There were almost always speeches occurring on various topics during the show. It was a convenient format with two stages at the back end of the show floor. Some of the information was relatively basic based on my knowledge level, but I still picked up some nuggets of information. Jack Spirko of The survival podcast presented two decent speeches. He is much less annoying to listen to in person without that stupid DJ voice he tries to use on his podcast.. His 12 tenets of modern survivalism is quite good. I would recommend people check that series out on his podcast.

I didn't count the vending booths but there was probably about 40 vendors. I was introduced to a few new vendors I was not aware of. One food storage guy was really nice and knew his products well. I've never heard of him before and will plan on trying to utilize him for some future purchases. I bought some FD peaches for $15/can from noahs pantry, and one vendor had good prices on canned butte@$5 can.

NatGEO was there signing up leads for "doomsday preppers" I scored a tote with their logo. I brought it home and told my wife I signed up to be on the show.

The show was fairly well attended. I would estimate Fridays crowd at probably around 1K, and even more on Saturday. The vendors I talked to seemed pleasantly surprised at the level of attendance.

The icing on the cake was on Saturday there was a decent gun show just down the hall!

It was decent. Was really surprised at how few locals were in attendance. Our gunshow is always super crowded. I too scored at Nat Geo bag. When the girl asked it I'd be interested in signing up. I told her not hardly, that they just make people look like idiots but that its like a train wreck u cant help but watch!
