THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT By the way, you can also buy the same pre-canned supplied directly from their website, its just costs a little more because of the shipping! Still cheaper than you will find anywhere else! Thanks! Shawn |

Try the FL hometown forums if you don't have any luck here. FL is too long of a commute for me.

Though they may not answer because that's a personal question, we have quite a few.
Back when the forum was new, we made an effort to recruit those of the LDS faith that had similar interest. The reason why you are even asking, we try very hard on this forum to not bring religion or politics into our discussions. This is why we call it a technical forum. What it does for us though is unlike the survival sites that are almost a cult, we see ourselves as more of a traditional community that has a mix of regions, races, genders, and political affiliations. We like to think we have more of a sense of belonging since we put no criteria on any of us other than the desire to provide information and get to know people with common interests. Tj |

Member here, but in Idaho.
Go to LDS.org, then "Tools" then "Find a Meetinghouse." Enter your address and you'll find the meetinghouse nearest you. Go there on a Wednesday evening, 7pm-8:30 . They will be having their Young Men/Young Women activity. Not a worship service. Introduce yourself to an adult and tell them what you want and I'm sure someone will be happy to find someone to help you. |

Not a member, but I am proud to have several members who are friends
Most of my long term storage food came from the LDS store, and most of my knowledge on how to store it properly came from them. They are some of the nicest, most helpful, and genuinely good people you will ever meet. Whenever they are in my neighborhood on a hot day I make it a point to give them bottled water. One year I tried to give them a few bottles of Coke-that was pretty ignorant on my part but they were very gracious about it. When the world goes to shit, consider yourself fortunate to have them in your corner. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I'm a member, but a little too far away to help. Not all canneries require a "sponsoring member". I've sent many friends to our local cannery, they've never been asked anything besides what they wanted.
Bump to the front page. |

Sorry, you're way too far away to come to the storehouse here. I have taken a couple non-LDS Arfcommers to mine when the capt and I have gone in to do some canning there. As others have said, ask in your HTF. I don't know where you are in FL, but you can follow the links on lds.org to find the closest canning center to you. http://www.providentliving.org/location/map/0,12566,2026-1-4,00.html Here's a lot more useful info if you browse around: http://www.lds.org/family/family-well-being?lang=eng |

I am in Jax, not quite SFL, but if you make it up this way PM me. If I run across any members I know in SFL I'll be sure to get a hold of you. As you can imagine, church member friends I have who relocate usually pick Utah, not SFL
