THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Over the last several years, I have posted in several (many) threads about KI my personal position on KI that if you can't see a Nuclear Power Plant from your house, and more so if you cant hear the lunch time whistle when the wind blows your direction, there is no reason to stock a KI inventory. After the events in Japan this spring at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, my position has changed. While this is an individual decision, I will no longer recommend against anyone deciding to do so. The area affected, even beyond the evacuation areas, and the contamination deposition down wind leads me to this change. Not that I expect there to be a problem in the US that would lead to taking the KI, but my position of KI as a precautionary prep has changed. So, all that said, if anyone in SF decided not to obtain KI based on my opinions, please know that I have learned, not longer recommend against it, and ask you to reconsider any actions you took based on my input. Thank you for your time, and your understanding that I am smarter now than I was then. CarbineDad |

This is what makes the SF a nice place.

It is a cheap precaution ahead of time, and expensive or not available when you need it.

Do you live near a reactor?
ETA Good on you for changing your mind. Rigidity kills analytical thought. |

There are 5 operating power reactors plants in the Pa area. Enough of these are close to fresh water and prevailing winds to make Marylanders prep too.
ETA correction 5 plants nine reactors. |

I picked up 4, 14 pill strips from www.beprepared.com about a month ago (after the Japan quake). I have always been of the opinion that it's cheap insurance and better to have and not need than not have but never acted on it until recently.

Took Cresson Kearny's advice years ago and stock a 100g bottle of USP grade KI.
Got enough for the neighborhood for ~$30. |

No problemo.
I've been taking KI since the Japan escapade began. Actually intermittently before that. If true (Ihaven't had my water tested) that Barium is being spread with the chemtrails I think it's a good idea. I saw a map of the contamination from Japan. It's pretty much all across the US now. I didn't see your opinion against the use of KI but it wouldn't have influenced me anyhow. But we all appreciate the heads up on your attitude change. Good decision, In my opinion. |

You are a good man, CarbineDad.
People who are wise enough to first face themselves with an error of any kind, then their friends and those they respect, earn the respect of others... and are smart enough to learn from their own mistakes. A great skill to have in the toolbox. |

Just how would KI protect you from barium? As I said, I haven't independently confirmed Barium in my immediate environment. I haven't spent 5 minutes searching what Barium does to your system. I'm geussing, OK? But I'm sure the shit will make you sick. It's not vitamin C. I'm gonna take KI anyhow. Barium is a waste product from the nuclear industry, I'd suspect it can get into your thyroid. Mines been FUBARRED since I was 5. Asshole mil doctor prescribed radio active iodide for mine when I was 5 for thyroid problems. I wouldn't take it. 20 years later I read in a medical journal it destroys your thyroid gland.... I've seen the immediate effects of the chemtrail sprays out in the stix, more than once, putting people in the hospital for respiratory problems. I'd just as soon not be sprayed. Fukk playing with the weather. I don't think that's the main reason for the spraying. There's money in illness. There is power in controling a weak and docile populace. There's power in fukking up your garden and controlling all the food. The aluminum oxides being used makes it almost impossible to grow a garden. Monsanto is making aluminum resistant seed......... |

I'll be taking 2 pills/day from now on. .65mg/pill. At the rigging class i was in Kansas City all day.........about 10 trails every time I went outside, 5 times........all day. Believe or not, I don't care. It'll be interesting to see if Des Moines is still geting hammered every day. Driving through Monday. |

It'll be interesting to see if Des Moines is still geting hammered every day. Driving through Monday. The only radiation KI protects your thyroid from is radioactive iodine. Flooding your thyroid with iodine for no good reason seems risky to me. Unless you live in Japan, you are not doing your body a favor by ingesting massive quantities of iodine. ETA; "Beware: Too much iodine can be bad for you. Over consumption of iodine can be toxic and just as damaging as a deficiency. As little as 1000 micrograms of Iodine in a day causes irritations like burning of the mouth and throat, nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, and even coma. Like under-consumption, too much iodine prevents proper production of thyroid hormones leading to goiter." http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/natural-foods-high-in-iodine.php Another long, but interesting read |
