THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
My wife and I took the kids to the pond in our neighborhood the day before she left for Missouri to visit family. The original plan was to hit a local creek but due to lack of time we could not swing that. We had a fun time despite not really catching much. I brought a rod but didn’t fish as I was busy helping the kids. After not casting a regular rod in years, my technique was a bit off. My wife grabbed the camera and took most all of the shots. Not much else to this story so I will let the pics tell the rest of it.

Just realized that I posted this in the fly fishing section. So here is a shot of me putting my fly rod away

Spiderman rods rock! My son wants one so bad he can't stand it. I just don't get why a Winston or Sage isn't good enough...

Great way to spend the day with the family.

Good job Dad! Those cartoon character poles are memory makers. 2 years ago, my then 22 year old, son found a Snoopy pole at a garage sale, just like the one he had as a kid. Of course he HAD to buy it and then HAD to catch a fish on it. Mind you, this kid can read water like most folks read a book. If there's a fish in it, he'll find it. He's an accomplished spin and fly fisherman. So we went to the lake we used to go to when the kids were small, waaaayy back in the woods. He fished with that Snoopy pole until he caught a cutthroat trout, just to prove he could. The memories you're making today will last a lifetime for them.
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1Timothy 5:8 NKJV

Fishing is a great family tradition. And they are geared up for the Snoopy Classic too!
