Could you all please share a few of the better online sources of gear and supplies, and anything else you think he might find useful? Just please, don't tell him about GD. Thanks!

http://flyfishingoutfitters.com- good all around site to look at things

http://www.stillwaterflyshop.com - another good fly shop, and if you buy certain reels from them they give you a credit towards line, my 160$ reel got me a 40$ credit towards line and you can have the option to pay the difference for a better line too,

theflyfishingforum,com is a great spot for information and general knowledge

flyshack.com is a good place to find flies and whatnot for pretty cheap
