Just got back from western north carolina. Great weather, great times, but not too many great fish. Still happy to get out there!

Caught two nice browns on the Gunpowder River tonight. The first one flipped out of my hands before I could take the picture. Fishing was pretty slow. I caught this one on a dry midge pattern and I caught the first one on a zebra midge nymph. Felt good to get back on the water and catch my first two fish of the year .

Crappy cell phone pic, but here is a nice rainbow I caught tonight on a wooly bugger. Fishing was slow up until about 15 mins before dark. Then the sulphurs started coming off and they went nuts! I landed 10 more browns up until I couldn't see my fly on the water anymore. I love nights like this where you just catch one after another

Rocky Ford Creek near Ephrata WA a few weeks ago. Caught quite a few 18-20 inch hogs on everything from a wooly bugger to a BWO.

Here are some pics from the past month.
All of these fish are wild, and I know where there are some HUGE ones, just haven't caught them.... YET.

Looks like fun!

There's a mud flat on a local lake that has lots of big carp. It's kind of like sight fishing to bonefish.

Here is a red (sockeye) from a couple of weeks ago on the Saltery River, in Kodiak. I was behind the camera.

Just a couple from last years trip out West:

It's very difficult taking pics of fish underwater; rod in 1 hand; camera in the other and take a bunch of shots of a moving trout; hoping 1 comes out good.

Heading out again in about a month. Can't wait!!!

That looks like it may be in Kerrville.
Either way, no idea we had trout in the Guadaloupe

Nice to see people actually catching fish. I have the gear and tie a lot of flies but I haven't made it to the water once this year.
