Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Universal sprayless connectors - not plastic?

I am thinking about putting universal sprayless connectors on my fuel tanks. I am looking for something like the Attwood linked here, but would prefer something not plastic.  Do you have any experience based suggestions that are durable, universal, and NOT plastic?

Not sure about being universal, but older Honda and Yamaha outboards used a quick connector like this..



with the appropriate female side..
