Never caught one myself, I don't really target fish I have to release. That being said, they school up around the piers on base, so we get a lot of charter boats right off the pier. Sometimes we cruise out to the end in a golf cart and watch them fight. Back when fishing was allowed on base, I remember one kid using a spinner and a Pinfish looking crank bait to catch them at night, right from the pier. They usually follow the mullet run down here, so I guess if I wanted to catch one, I'd probably cast met some mullets and try to throw a live one out there.
