I'm thinking about a road trip next week to do some surf fishing...first and foremost, how has the surf been? Are the stripers back in the wash or still out where only the boats can get?

Anything else biting in the surf?

Assuming there is something to catch....is there a decent place to stay (motel) near the beach / close to fishing?

Just looking for a room to crash in between fishing...
