I got a charter heading out on the 3rd for a friend of mine and our 3 boys off the OBX for tuna, dolphin, and wahoo. I wanted to give my oldest a good birthday present since he saw my pics fishing the flats in the Florida Keys. Personally I'm more interested in the tuna. I have been watching the fishing reports from the marinas and the captain of the boat I chartered and it seems as if tuna is the da bomb right now, they are hitting the tuna limits pretty damn quick on a daily basis. But my question is how do they fight cause I'm looking for a fight

Well I found how how they fight, what a work out. Here are some pics of the day:

On the way out

Devins first fish

Zaks First of the day

My friend and his son who caught the sailfish

this one took a while to get in

Back at the dock

Once we had it cleaned it came out to 141 lbs. of tuna. My freezer is now full.

Nice.

We're hitting Hatteras for a week beginning next Sunday. Gonna be doing the Drum fishing thing. I'll post pix if we have any luck. Last year at the Drum Tournament was as slow as I've ever seen it on the point.

Looks like a great trip. Were the temperatures cool? When I was out there in late May it was chilly half the time we were there. We always do the inshore side, reds mostly. I would love to go out to the gulf stream I just can't justify the coin.

Nice Catch! I love fishing out of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. We usually take a trip up there every year and charter the Point Runner.
