Heading to Westport this weekend to do some fishing, I think we'll be after Lingcod, and Seabass/rockfish.
First time saltwater fishing in Washington (been here all my life), I've only chartered in Mexico.
Anyone here ever fish out of Westport/ocean shores area?

Planing on Dramamine the night before & as soon as I wake up, but once on the boat I'll probably just be following instructions.
The weather should be partly cloudy, so I'll likely be in Keens, cargo shorts, and a fleece.

What works, what doesn't, any advice in general would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've been salmon fishing twice from Westport. An ex girlfriend of mines parents live in Olympia and every time we would visit we would go salmon fishing. I don't really have any tips, except I did exactly what you plan on doing, Dramamine before bed and in the morning when I woke up, I was fine every trip I did.

Have fun, there is fantastic fishing there.
