Nice work!

For us 3000 miles away, what is that? It looks to me like good eats.

Havent posted in a while, but I finally got back in the game. Over the summer I caught my first cobia just south of Mississippi, and just this week caught a nice wahoo trolling across the Gulf of Mexico from AL to key west.

The wahoo was 45 lb on that scale. the cobia was 20 pounds I think.

Got back into floundering this year, walking with handheld light setups. Lots of good floundering this fall.
Last pic was last weekend, night before gigging closed.

I didn’t get sent these pictures until after I made the post. But yeah it hit at 12 knots and kept running until we got the boat stopped and I could get a few turns on it. It was shaking its head and dove deep. I was worried the line was going to go all the way under the boat. We can’t exactly walk the lines around the back like you can on a center console.

Here’s a blue marlin I caught last May off of Hatteras that died on us during the fight.  I’ve also posted a few photos I’ve shot of sails, whites, striped and blue marlins over the last few years:

Half Moon Bay 7/8/22

22lb salmon to start and a 16 pounder later for three guys.

It was a long day. I am glad I didn’t catch two (limit per rod), I catch more than I can eat.

Nice catch.

They are catching Blue Fin tuna out of San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. I am trying to get out there for some of that!
