Caught 3 back to back off of this little fella, Texas rigged.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043F7HEK?tag=vglnk-c102-20

Got a couple hits off a jig but the bait was to big with the water this cold. They weren't being aggressive so I went with the tube and slowed down on my hook sets to really let the fish take it all the way.

Caught around 100, mostly small (biggest was a 7), on crankbaits and senkos on Falcon last weekend.

Fishing there is very odd right now. Big fish are hard to find, even for the pros.

Nonetheless, a good time was had by all.

The bite all but stopped on Logan Martin. Everybody's had difficulty catching anything . . .

Until this morning, caught almost a dozen largemouth on a weightless Senko.

Spent Last weekend in LA fishing the Gulf for Specs and the marshes for redfish. the storm and all the following rain pushed a lot of freshwater into the marshes and the bass followed. we caught tons of bass.

I was mostly using a Lunker City Salad Spoon, but also caught them on a Redfish Magic spinner bait in Chicken on a Chain and a basic shad colored popper.

I'm not sure what my last fish came on but I am officially in love with the salad spoon. It just slides over the grass and buzzes on top of the water or just under depending on how fast you reel.

Caught a couple last night on a Rapala DT-4, they seemed to have really laid off any senko type worms I was throwing, doing ok with the cranks now, not killing them but enough to keep me interested.

Caught one on a 7in plastic worm on a no. 4 offset set up as a Texas rig and also caught one on a jig head and a live worm yesterday.  All of the fish that were caught yesterday except for the one, were caught on the jig head and worm combo.

For largemouth?

I feel like that was bycatch, because I REALLY want to catch stripers.

That lake was overrun with stripers, when they raised the limit from 10 to 20 it put a hurt on em. After that the stripers were much smaller and mostly snakes and Largemouth and then later Smallmouth made a decent comeback.

Yeah, I had a decent smallmouth chase one of my striper baits right up to the shore.

The river is the place for striper, now. They're getting fat off the trout from Willow Beach.

My son and I have been hitting the small local ponds with the 1 inch strike king mini crankbaits.  The monster bass don't bother with then but small bass, bluegill, and crappie can't resist and it makes for fun fast fishing.

Had a blowup on a frog... pretty cool seeing I have never fished with one before.  A smaller frog might have gotten me the fish.

Switched to a small powerbait tube hoping for bluegill, but got a little dinker large mouth.

Went from the cove area to some floating docks on the bay side and caught a little yellow perch and another dinker on the next cast.  Both were caught on a small gold cleo spoon with a rooster tail treble hook.
