5" Senko, weightless Texas rig has been treating me very well this summer.   Eased into the water by the bank, allowed to fall to bottom, and then moved very slightly.   I can't get them to hit anything else this summer.   Had a few hit on topwater plugs earlier in the Spring.

The ones I've been getting have been pretty good size.  I normally catch bass in the 1 - 3 lbs range, but I've been getting them in the 4 to 6 lbs range this year.   Either I'm getting better at it or the bass are coming back like they used to be in the late '70s around here.

I'm now moving up to 4/0 offset shank worm hook because the size of the bass I've been catching.   I normally fish with a 2/0 but went to a 3/0 after seeing the size of the bass this summer.

I fish Senko's that way as well when the bite is slow.... and always produce!

I caught my last bass off of a 10.5" Yum Mighty Worm. I was specifically fishing for big bass and it worked well. Caught a 24 1/4" and 18"(the last one)..... And a turtle, lol. I definitely got more confidence with the lure.

Won't be catching any fish in the lake I live on this year.  Somebody opened the drain and let all the water out.  Thousands of dead big bass and bluegills frozen in the ice two weeks ago. The majority of the lake is 5-8 feet deep. Idiot dropped the lake level 7-8 feet in the middle of the winter leaving most of the lake high and dry.

State Fisheries Biologist stated near total die off.
