I would like to fish the Delta sometime. I grew up fishing in Texas where you couldnt even get your picture taken at the dock if it was under 10#. Up here on Table Rock people get all giggly over a 5#.

Here's my little 5.5-pound Bass.  Got it in the pond at our hunt club.  We usually get a bunch of little shell-crackers, so this guy was a good surprise.

I really need to drive down to south FL and catch some peacocks.

Actually, the lump on the head indicates male peacocks. I'm pretty sure the lump becomes more pronounced during spawning season, which is when they're most aggressive. Females do not have the lump. Either way, they're tough, especially for freshwater fish.

Ha! Not me.  My wife's late grandfather got him in Kenya in the late '60s.  It's one of the things we got out of his trophy room.

Here's my 3 yr old son with is first fish.  Tilapia using a lead split shot painted white on a hook and bamboo pole.  I'm not sure if he had more fun catching fish or tossing them to the midnight heron's to watch them eat them in one gulp on the stream bank.
