I recently adopted a 7r old GSP a few weeks ago and he came to me with bad elbow callus . He has been sleeping on a bed at night since I got him so his elbow callus is getting better and hair is starting to grow back but i was wondering if there are steps I could be taking to help heal his callus issue? thanks in advance.
I say Nobama.

You can try salves like Bag Balm or Utter Butter and the likes to help soften the skin to promote healing. The only thing that will work for sure is time and him being off abrasive surfaces when he lays.

Some dogs are more prone to it than others though. My old partner had it no matter what, but laying on carpet did help some. My new one never has.
