Wow. Just a $300 pair of boots for me. Oh, and a tree.

Damn.

I remember somebody around here had their $3500 AN/PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular chewed up by their dog.

My beagle got my girlfriends IPOD Touch, Cell phone, $400 dollar boots and a blanket her grandmother made her (who has passed away) all in one day.

I told her to quit buying expensinve shit.

Galco holster. 2 more custom holsters I was making. 3 leather guitar straps. 2 knife sheaths.

Are we seeing a pattern?

Socks. Lots and lots of socks. Individually, not worth much, but, over time ...

Leather no longer gets left out. At all. I *make* leather goods, fer cryin' out loud. How am I supposed to have the stuff out? She sneaks up, looking at me, and snags scraps off the floor where I'm working!

Kids leave socks on the floor. Guess what? I buy a lot of socks.

My German Shorthair got ahold of 6 feet of christmas wrapping ribbon last year. It
tied her intestines in knots and it cost 2500 bucks for the surgery to get it out. The
vet actually kept everything he found in her in a ziplock gallon bag. Not only the
ribbon but there was a pound of grass clippings, chewed up sticks, a bunch of
rocks, 2 plastic army men (the bazooka guy and the prone guy) and a kingsford
charcoal bag label. Damn my dog can be stuuupid!

12 pairs of shoes valued from $60-$200 :/

an e-collar remote

the tip off a Teton 9 wt fly rod

every cable to my surround sound speakers

she is 4 now and doesn't chew on anything.

the 14 month old is actually very good about not chewing on things he shouldn't. it is very surprising and will be a false sense of security when i get another pup.

Just an update..

The warr from beltone covers accidental damage one time.
I did have to pay $360 deductible though. So it ended up costing me about a case worth of ammo.

As a side note neither the dog nor the wife listen any better to me.

My dog is half Lab half Pitt. Yeah....

4 trees. I didn't know a Dog could eat trees.
Whole garden (was fenced but he broke through). $400 invested.
Patch of carpet. $150 in repairs.
Tritton 720 gaming head set. $130.
3 grill covers and grill wheels. $25 each cover, wheels not replaced.
And a yard full of holes and torn up grass that I come home to after work every day.

Thought about finding a new home for him a few times but...damn dog is too cute and he shows potential for Hog or bird hunting.

My sister's piece of crap springer broke into my ferret breeding pens and killed only the female baby ferrets and two mothers from 3 litters. Took my breeding stock down from 11 to 1 in one short afternoon.

Every piece of wooden furniture we had in the living room, Including a antique cedar chest built by my father-n-law. We don't have that dog anymore.

63 Gibson Les Paul, powder horn I was almost done working on. Last but not least a 100+ year old plant my great great grandmother planted. I'm slowly renovating her old house.
And God said through zip ties and duct tape all things are possible.

When my lab was a pup, he tore the hadles off a mattress while home alone. He was restriced to an empty bedroom while I was at work after that. He then proceed to chew up most of the carpet in that room and ate the damn window sill off of the window.

We had to have him put down in March after 10 years. I still miss him for some reason.

Between my two mastiffs, one leather couch, two coffee tables, couple remote controls, two cameras, hair brushes, one toshiba tablet, one pot roast left unguarded, several handles off hammers, 2x4s while building a deck, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, a handle off my weedwacker, one vacume (a Dyson), wife's shoes, countless stuffed animals, a couple pillows, one dog bed mattress, lots of electric cords from various appliances, one inflatable pool (trying to save my wife from a floating pool toy, he jumped/ climbed up the side), lots of plastic soda bottles-both empty and full, brooms, rakes, bicycle tires, lots of wheels, and lots of indestructible dog toys. We have discovered that the only thing mastiff proof is another mastiff!

Wouldn't change a thing. They are worth it.
