I have some crappy old hybrid that I am restoring right now. I use it primarily for family biking and when I have my 6 yo attached tandem (hence a huge bracket on the seat post).

Got some new cables, brakes (TRP 8.4 mini), micro shifters (still waiting on them), bullhorn handlebar (have not wrapped it yet) and a new seat on a way. I think I am going to add a set of dual platform shimano pedals similar to my road bike.

This is my road bike. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

Those are awesome mountain bikes and sweet  trails. I hope enjoy yourself, are using a good lamp and share the road.

This is the XC mountain bike I put together about a decade ago. Until this Summer, I largely stopped riding when I moved from Colorado to Texas. I've been finding the time this year to find some trails and put it to use once more, I'm happy to say.

Sweet bike! Great area as well.

I never rode on a fat bike before how does it feel compared to a normal bike?

Not sure if it was directed at me, definitely shared the road.  Had a headlamp but never turned it on, it didn't get dark the entire trip

Slower due to more rolling resistance but can go almost anywhere.  I need to do a trip report on this trip it was awesome even the hills.

I think he was making a comment about a GD thread.... where people were "complaining" about cyclists on the road.

Looking forward for the after action report.

I started this thread in GD but I'll play here, too.

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1877262_Arf_Cyclists__Show_Off_Your_Ride.html

After I started that thread I put a set of Bontrager H2 slicks on my '99 Trek 820 mountain bike, since I'm not doing any technical trails.

The bike rides a lot more quietly and noticeable faster with the slicks.
