THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT The private property we go to, is owned by a friend and it's quite big (200k acres). Lots of fish, game, firewood, cattle, and jungle. Zero, mosquitoes (thank god for that) Checking a stream you have to wade before you do, is always a good idea, specially when you're in the middle of frigging nowhere:
Turned out that the stream, was almost dry, we were lucky.
This is what the area looked like going in, it kind of reminded me of Africa:
We Set up camp in the jungle, by a very nice and quiet river, deep in the South American jungle. Shelter
Fire
Water, which of course, we filtered and boiled, just in case:
Where there's a river there's fish, this one counts for "food" item:
Me, grilling our harvested fish
We caught a lot of fish
First kill, pack of smokes serves as scale
First meal, cast iron of course:
Served:
It's a good thing it didn't rain, as we were not very careful with the setting up of our tarp
This is an over the tree canopy shot of what the area looked like, I had to climb all the way up a windmill to get this one
Moonraise over the river shot
Head shots, is it?
Our mandatory zombie target. More to come.............. HTR. |

The two fish my buddy is holding in the first picture are two "dorados", they are related to salmon, very aggressive when hooked, they put up a great fight jumping out of the water and moving the fishing line left, right and all over the place. The darker ones, are called "tarariras".
Like someone said above, yeah, I'm in Argentina. This camping trip took place in a province called Corrientes. Under the tree canopy, hunting for capibaras, I took this one, the guy in woodland camo is my hunting buddy.
This is a mugshot on my uglyness under the same jungle:
another self mugshot, tent and my 870 in the background
more to come.... HTR. |

Lol, next time I will take some, how would you like to see pics of bikini girls mud wrestling? Fucking hell, we're in the middle of winter down here, and still, we had a couple of very sunny days, temperature climbing up to 30 degree celcius. Sunny day. You can see a lamb "grilling" in the background, and my buddy with his naked torso. That day was frigging hot, specially around the fire.
Bushcraft lamb, with bbq sauce and mustard.

Can we get better pics of what "weapontry" you guys brought with you? Are there any threats from two-legged predators? |

Hunting over there is so damn easy, that this year we "challenged" ourselves to only take a .22lr Rifle, a shotgun and sidearms. My .22lr Rifle
My shotgun
Sidearm
As for my buddy, he only took his M9 and a Bersa .22lr pistol. That's it. We shot fish (yes, fish) deer, capibaras, vizcachas, some wing (pictured), dillos, gators, and our zombie. Yeah, a .22lr rifle and a scattergun was enough. Next time just for giggles I'm taking the M4 though, maybe the FAL, we'll see. As for your last question, I don't believe there's anywhere in the world where there's no potential threats from two legged predators. That's excatly why I'm working on an early warning perimeter system More to come.... HTR |

Having the ability to get your vehicle as close as your campsite as you can, has some obvious advantages, hence:
Right after crossing a makeshift "brigde". I was like "this fucking bridge is going to collapse under us, this fucking brigde is going to collapse..." I can tell you this much, my ass cheeks, were shut tight! But the "brigde" held our weight just fine.
Our little Suzuki, parked on the egde of some thick brush.
I know this is no wrangler, or H1, but these little japanese vehicles, are tougher than you guys think, and they are soooooo light and short, that will go anywhere! Really happy with the way it performed. Pure WIN. More to come.... HTR. |
