I've gone free diving before at oil rigs before but not a diving enthusiast. I've seen a diving pic thread around here somewhere so I know there's a set of divers are member here.

Diver here too but I'm not sure how active a dive forum would be.

There is a potential for a lot of gear talk. and it could be a good resource for dive trips etc...

Last one was the Barrier Reef a few years back. I usually take a refresher before I do the dive so I try to stay sharp on skills while diving. The best diving in SoCal near me is Anacapa and out on the Channel Islands. I've already done that trip a few times. I would love to check out some more Caribbean spots, the Caymans and Bonaire. I do enjoy drift diving!
I'll bet a lot of us dive at one time or another. It's kind of pricey and I don't get enough out of it to do it much locally. While vacationing is another story but so far I don't plan vacations around it. |

I just think with all the different disciplines, gear, places, and the wealth of knowledge this board has, it couldn't help but be great!
And I'd dang sure rather talk diving with people of the same mind on other issues too. |

Don't do as much diving now as I used to but I'll contribute if we do.

I've been diving for about 20 years now. But my buddies have all moved, changed jobs or whatever and I haven't been in a few years now. About to sell my gear and put money to other uses,,, Age kinda slows me down some now anyways.

My team dove there in Oct 91' with open and closed circuit. Set up a ARFAB tent right on the shore and even did some helo casting with the Dagger LARV. Not much to see down below however. CD |

I love it, just got back from the Keys where I dove the Grove, Duane, Bibb, Vandenburg, and some reefs. I prefer wreck diving, and am contemplating getting into technical diving, as I've gone as far up the chain in recreational short of divemaster. I want to do deep deco and advanced overhead enviroments, etc.
I live in Dallas and try to get out to Clear Springs often. |

I'm also a diver. I dive regularly in Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice. I get to the Keys at least once a year. Just got back a few weeks ago from lobstering off of the middle keys. Can't wait to do more fossil diving in Venice. Maybe I'll go this week!
