I going to Dallas, TX next month for a meeting. I'll be driving from Montgomery, AL and I'm looking for some places of interest to stop along the way. I plan to take US80 from Montgomery to I-20, and then I-20 to Dallas. I'll be going out on Monday and returning the following Friday. Maquest says it's about a 10 1/2 hour drive and I have all day to get there, so I will be taking a few breaks and just enjoying the drive.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Mike

I can't reply on that route, but a 887 mile drive from Nw Arkansas to Florida, had me driving through Birmingham and Montgomery. Those were the only two Places that I stopped and actually put my pistol on my waist when I got out of the vehicle.

There is a decent Bass Pro Shops in Shreveport. Also, if you have time, you have to take the tour of Cowboys Stadium while you are in Dallas. Was only 12 or 15 bucks and well worth the 2 hr investment.

There is a nice one in Pearl, Mississippi just off I-20. I mean literally off of I-20. You can see it from the road.
