Looks like you had great time.

I know this is after the fact, but something I used see all the time down in corpus Christi, was a guy that would bring a surplus military parachute to the beach with him.

He would bury / anchor down one side of it, then tie the opposite side down with rope and water jugs, and then just allow the offshore wind (which was constant)' "inflate" the whole thing. There was enough space under it, that he could park his truck, set up tables & chairs, etc.

It made a HUGE sun shade, and was held up with just the wind.



Pretty cool idea I thought. I have a parachute, someday I'd like to try it.

Looks like you had an excellent time. We love Carolina and Kure beaches, but if you want to get away from people go to the Outer Banks south of the Bonner Bridge.
