is there by any chance a relief valve in the water line that may have failed open?

There is a filter - just a screen - on the out flow of the on-board pump, but I do not know if the outside service line flows thru the pump or not. There is the check valve the above post mentioned but that does not explain why the on-board water does not work. Do you have any filters that may be plugged?

Nope no filters. Don't believe it has a relief valve ( and if it was that I should be seeing the water go someplace). Will have to look and see if the hose line runs through the pump. Thanx. Hoping its something simple, have a big week long family trip coming up in a few weeks too and NEED the water working. Just so frustrating because there isn't that much to these things

Well, looks like the hose water lines do not go through the pump. It right on the waterline out of the fresh water tank. I fiped the pump on and it seemed to work now. Went out side and opened the valve on the hose line (just a cut off for outside water) and water started trikleing out, and in about 30 seconds the pump ran to top off the line pressure. So apparently there must be some kind of anti-back flow valve somewhere that is leaking? Anyone have an idea where it would be?
Im thinking when I had the hose on that it was flowing water past the pump into the tank. At least I can take a shower now with the onboard water, but really need to figger this out. |

The inlet for the outside water to hook up to on mine has a check valve where the hose screws in - just a lightly loaded spring plate. The water pressure from the pump in the trailer keeps it closed when no outside water pressure is on it. It seems to be part of the hose fitting built into the trailer.

Double check all of your faucet filters on your outlets. Take off the aireator on each faucet, then turn on your water. You should see results. They may be clogged from residue calcium deposits from the hot water heater. I have had that happen before on my MH. |
