CR-21 at a Glance
CR-21
Caliber: 5.56x45mm
Length: 30.4 inches
Weight: 8.2lbs

The Vektor CR-21 is made by Denel industries in South Africa. It is an ergonomically designed bull pup featuring a high-impact polymer stock, which covers most of the rifle’s components. In fact the only metal not covered on this rifle is the flash suppressor, and the barrel. The internal components are based on the Kalashnikov, which isn’t suprising considering that the South Africans produced their very own copy of the Galil, the R-4, that has proven itself with many years of reliable service.

The CR-21 is chambered for the 5.56x45mm round. Although export versions are available chambered for the 5.45x39mm, and 7.62x39mm rounds. Both twenty, and thirty-five round synthetic magazines are available for the CR-21. The CR-21 comes standard with a no magnification reflex optical sight although other sights can be mounted upon the CR-21’s optics rail. The fire selector on this rifle is located near the butt stock, and is ambidextrous.
