Introduction: This is an intensive seven-day course designed to prepare individuals to provide high risk security operations in NON-permissive environments (Iraq/Afghanistan /Africa/Pakistan). The procedures and tactics presented during the training are same methods used by U.S. Training Center when providing security in today’s most demanding locations. The instructional team provides real world scenarios based on their own experiences during overseas operations.

Ammunition: 1300 rounds of pistol ammunition, 1300 rounds of carbine ammunition.
Gear: All gear should be tried / tested prior to arrival, i.e. Aimpoint or EOTEC sighted in and on weapon with new batteries, familiar sling system able to manipulate weapon to high or low port, quality drop-leg holster with retention ability designed for the pistol to be used (no cross draw holsters), quality footwear already broken in (no dress shoes), rugged pants & long sleeve shirts. Pistol and carbine magazine holders, Hearing and eye protection (clear), Cover Shirt and Civilian clothes (no army fatigues for this event), Low Profile Holster (inside the pants or paddle type), range uniform, soft body armor, GPS (we use Garmin 60), small hand held flashlight, rain and cold weather gear.
Method: This course will be taught using classroom lectures and practical field exercises.
Skill Prerequisites: U.S. Training Center Pistol/Carbine, Carbine Operator or equivalent standards. The course is open to select personnel that U.S. Training Center staff “clears” to come through the course. The course is both mentally and physically challenging and will require each student that attends to be well trained with the handgun and carbine rifle. Participants MUST have advanced marksmanship skills prior to attending. Students will be removed from the course without refund if they do not meet Blackwater’s weapons and physical standards (see below).
Required Physical Ability – Students should be able to run 1.5 miles, complete 20 push-ups with body armor on, be on one’s feet for most of the day in gear, control/handle M4 with strong hand only during movement drills, and function on 6 hours sleep per day.
Required Weapons Skills – Familiar with reloading or clearing malfunctions of either weapon system, familiar with sight-in procedures & adjustments of the carbine, able to shoot a 3 inch dot from 3 yards 5 times consecutively with the pistol, be able to sight-in the M4 within 5 volleys of 3 rounds.

Duration: 7 days
Course Cost: $2,400.00 (Includes training, and meals). This course consists of a total of approximately 100 hours of training and study time. Most items on the gear list may be rented via the application at additional cost or purchased at the Proshop.
