Defensive Carbine, Carthage NC 6-7 September
Defensive Concepts North Carolina will be conducting Defensive Carbine on 6-7 SEPTEMBER 2008 in Carthage, NC, at Trigger Time Valley Range. Course tuition is $225. We are currently accepting deposits in the amount of $50 to reserve slots on the line. Please contact Steve either through email, steve@DefensiveConceptsNC.com or through our website.
Equipment List:
*Semi-auto Carbine with sling (tactical or traditional)
*Handgun with holster (dominate-side hip or thigh holster)
*5 carbine magazines minimum
*3 pistol magazines minimum (if using a single stack pistol; bring 6 magazines)
*1000 rounds of carbine ammunition
*250 rounds of handgun ammunition
*Chest rig, belt pouch, etc to carry 4 carbine mags while on the line
*Pistol magazine pouch
*Ear and eye protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
*Weapon cleaning kit
*Weapon lubricant (carbine and pistol)
*Folding chair
*Pen/Notebook
*Knee and elbow pads (optional but encouraged)
*Bug spray/sunscreen
*Food (fast food is available in the area for lunch, but bring food enough food to at least snack on)
*Appropriate outdoor range attire (shorts are not appropriate attire).
Here is a brief description of what you can expect:
The Defensive Carbine course is designed to give students the ability to effectively fight determined attackers through primary use of a defensive carbine. Subjects to be covered during the course will include: proper zeroing, marksmanship fundamentals, proper target engagement (single and plural assailants), malfunction clearance, shooting on the move, use of cover, and transitions to secondary weapons.
Don't be fooled. This class is jam packed with relevant, real world information and extensive live fire.
The class will start at 0800 sharp. Please arrive early so we can square away any administrative issues before class.
