COURSE: Tactical Rifle/Carbine (TIER I-II)
DATES & LOCATIONS: 4-6 January 2008, Cape Girardeau/Jackson, Mo. Training to be held at the SOTT-I / Point Blank Midwest Training Center, Jackson, Missouri
PURPOSE: The program is designed to focus upon the skills required to conduct tactical operations in an urban and rural environment with the tactical rifle or carbine. The training will highlight various tactics, techniques and procedures relative to tactical rifle/carbine and will cover SOTT-I TIER I-II skills with those weapon systems. The training will include but not be limited to:
Introduction to the Tactical Rifle/Carbine
Weapons Etiquette and Handling
Tactical Safety
Weapon Characteristics-Maintenance
Weapon Disassembly and Assembly
Tactical Rifle Employment
Tactical Mindset
Ammunition Types and Ballistics
Rifle Combat Marksmanship (RCMMS)
Rifle Specialty Applications
Shooting and Moving-Discriminatory Shooting
Weapon deployment and employment
PRE-REQUISITES: The Tactical Rifle/Carbine (TIER I-II) Program is designed to provide an initial overview of the tactical rifle, teach RCMMS and provide a base skill set for employment. Perspective attendees include civilian, sworn law enforcement/correction officers or military personnel seeking a basic skill level in weapon and weapon marksmanship.
SPECIAL INFORMATION: The Tactical Rifle/Carbine (TIER I-II) Program is performance oriented training conducted in a medium risk environment. Training will involve performance oriented hands-on application of the skills learned through numerous live fire exercises, classroom lectures/conferences and graded presentations.
CLASS SIZE: The course is limited to 24 personnel and will fill quickly. Tuition is $300.00 per person.
