Target Audience:
* This program is appropriate for Public Safety Personnel, Private Security Service Professionals, and Private Citizens who desire to develop the necessary basic skills use their weapon in a tactical environment.THIS IS AN OPEN ENROLLMENT COURSE.
Course Goals:
During this 6 hour course participants will learn effective shooting methods, strategies, and tactics for gunfight survival.
Topics include but are not limited to:
Review of:
* General Safety Concerns
* Deadly Physical Force and Use of Force Continuum
* General Safety Concerns and Function of Carbines
* Disassembly & Cleaning
Content:
* Combat Mindset
* Accessory Equipment
* Appropriate Ammunition Choices
* Loading, Reloading, Unloading/ Making safe
* Shooting Fundamentals and Zeroing of Weapon
* Proper Ready Positions for Carbine Use
* Zeroing your firearm (25m vs 50m zero)
* Shooting Positions
* Loading and Responses to Malfunctions
* Short and mid range target engagement
* Shooting on the Move
* Multiple Target engagement.
* Use of Barricades & Cover
Additional Information:
* Pre-registration is required.
* Ammunition requirements: ~350 rounds of "Ball" ammunition in the caliber of your carbine. No hand loaded ammunition is allowed on the range.
* Equipment Requirements: Carbine*, Comfortable Clothing or Duty Uniform, Minimum of 3 Magazines & Holder, Eye & Ear Protection,
* Elbow/knee pads are optional.
There is a scored qualification course at the end of the training day that involves physical activity combined with the shooting skills.
A minimum of 80% score on this qualification is required to attend Combative Carbine II
* Firearms maybe available for rent if necessary, contact for details. Advanced notice is required.

* During this 6 hour course participants will further develop the basic tactical skills learned in Combative Carbine I.
Topics include but are not limited to:
* General Safety Concerns
* Deadly Physical Force and Use of Force Continuum
* Review of Shooting Fundamentals and Warm up drills
* Dynamic Shooting Positions
* Use of Barricades and Adverse angles
* Shooting on the Move (individual & team)
* Multiple Targets
* Multiple Shots
* Secondary Weapon Transition
* Vehicle engagements
Prerequisite:
* This requires the completion of Pathfinder Operations, Combative Carbine I Additional Information:
OTHER info:
* A hand gun and ~200 rounds of appropriate handgun ammo is recommended NOT required
* Ammunition requirements: 500 rounds of "Ball" ammunition in the caliber of your carbine.
* No hand loaded ammunition is allowed on the range.
* Equipment Requirements: Carbine*(typically AR or AK, please contact us if your intent is to use a different platform), Pistol*, Comfortable Clothing or Duty Uniform, Minimum of 3 Magazines(carbine), 2 Magazines(pistol) & Holders for each, Belt & Holster, Eye & Ear Protection, Illumination Tool. (Elbow/knee pads are optional.)
