Intermediate Handgun:

In this course, we'll cover , Firearms Safety, including Range Safety and Commands, Dry-fire Practice, Modes of Readiness, Principles of Personal Defense, Introduction to Tactics, Drawing and Shooting from a Holster, Drawing and Shooting from a Concealed Carry Device, Introduction to Movement: Shooting While Moving, Strong Hand and Weak Hand Shooting, How to Clear Malfunctions, Timed Drills to Improve Your Ability to Function Under Stress, Multiple Shots on a Single Assailant, Multiple Shots on Multiple Assailants, Point Shooting vs. Sighted Shooting, Extreme Close Quarters Shooting, Cover and Concealment: Engaging targets from cover, Extra: Friendly, fun competition events on reactive targets!

Eligibility Requirements:
This course is NOT designed to teach first-time beginners how to shoot. You must already have had some training, and possess solid, safe gun handling skills.

We teach, and you learn through positive feedback which builds self-confidence. We believe that you should not only develop good shooting skills, but the confidence to apply those skills in a self-defense scenario, if the need arises.

The overall pace of the course is at a medium, steady speed, with many repetitions and breaks to review and assess your performance. For many of the exercises, you will work in teams of two. Women are encouraged to attend this course with a friend or spouse.

You must be physically capable of performing the movement drills - specifically, moving forward, back, and side to side in unison with the line of shooters. While these drills are not strength or stamina intensive, they require good concentration, coordination and, above all, total adherence to safety.

Careless/unsafe gun handling practices are not permissible and will be cause for removal from the line faster than you can blink.
