This is an introductory course, perfect for beginners or for those seeking instruction on basic pistol fundamentals. If you have little to no experience with a handgun, this class is perfect for you! This course is approximately 8 hours in length using classroom and range environments with 4 hours the first day and 4 hours the second day. This course covers the basic skills needed to safely handle, load, unload, carry and fire most common pistols and revolvers. The course also takes you through nomenclature, proper maintenance, cleaning, safe storage and inspection of a firearm. This course is intended for the first time handgun owner, refresher for basic pistol fundamentals and is highly recommended before purchasing a firearm. This course meets and exceeds the requirements of NRA's First Steps Pistol program. Firearms can be rented on site. and ammunition is available for purchase at the range. Any handgun from .22lr and larger is acceptable for use in this course.
