So you think you've got your B.O.B. (Bug Out Bag) together, and you think you've got what it takes to make it 72 hours when the SHTF? Why don't you put yourself and your bag to the test, as well as learn a lot of new skills in the process with Bushido Tactical's Specialized Urban Surviaval Readiness course? That's right, there's now a course that will help you do just that...

Bushido's S.U.S.R.
Is designed to teach you the skills you need to survive in the event of a natural disaster or some other event that causes you to find yourself without your home for shelter and the corner market for supplies and food.

While I've hosted many courses for instructors in the past including courses from Wade Rorich of Bushido Tactical, I've always tried to take a step back when the course was over and allow the other students to write their reviews on the course rather than it coming from me the host, but this is one time that I couldn't hold back. I've been excited about this course from the very first time Wade and I first talking about the possibility of a survival course for a S.H.T.F. senario. What more could someone like myself who enjoys both the physical and mental challenges of life want from a training course designed to help you survive a worse case senario? Absolutely nothing! This course definately delivered!

Although this course was only 48 hours long (two nights and two days) it was jam packed with all kinds of useful information on survival. It is amazing how much information you can cover if you aren't sleeping. Yes that's right. Sleep deprivation is experienced and understood by the end of the course. As well as some of the following subjects and many more...

Survival Equipment Selection
Building Shelters
Knots, Lashings and most important their uses
The importance of a Survival Mind Set
Land Navigation
Water Purification Methods
First Aid
Fire Making (Oh yea! Lots of fun.)

There where many other subjects, challenges and senarios that made this the most interesting and informative course I've taken yet. One of the best things about this course is that you are expected to perform nearly everything that you've studied to complete the course.

This all may sound pretty difficult or even scary to some, but we had a lot of fun during this course as well. We began the course by first being seperated into teams who studied together, but competed against each other in challenges that were designed to test our new skils and endurance. One such challenge included transmitting a message via morse code to the second team who in turn would translate it before continuing the challenge was one of the most entertaining. Let's just say that the message didn't quite come through clearly.

All in all I had a great time with a bunch of great people learning skills that will always be with me if I ever happen to need them to help myself, my family or others.

Thanks Wade!

To all the graduates of S.U.S.R, I'd be proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with you any day.

If you ever wonder about how you'd take care of yourself and your family if everything you know was wiped out by a natural disaster or some other catistrophic event this course will definately help you be better prepared. It would be well worth your time to sign up for the next S.U.S.R. course and be part of the Bushido Survival Team.

Oh yea, really cool tee shirt too!

Thanks again to everyone envolved.
