I thought I 'd call a Blade Tech and ask them. They told me that the Black Ice DOH holster is IDPA legal.

Yes you are correct it is not IDPA legal with the Drop offset belt loop attachment. I went ahead and ordered a extra Tec-Loc belt loop attachment to use for IDPA matches. All I have to do is remove the Drop offset, attach the Tek-Loc I'm ready to go. I'm try to buy one good all round holster and from what I've been reading the Blade tech DOH is the one, the Black Ice seemed like a good idea I just was not sure if IDPA would alow that type of mod to a holster. The Tec-Lock gives me some options including the ability to cant the holster for behind the hip location as well as stong side . I know everone likes somthing different if your looking for competion gear look at Shooters Connection there costomer service people are competion shooter themselves with lots of imformation

I don't like his return policy on broken gear he sold you. You will have to deal with the manufacture direct even when he sold you the broken gear.

Didn't know that But thats pretty much across the board when ever I buy any gear. I once bought a rifle stock that I was not happy with cosmetically.I called the manufacture they said send it in for replacement. I then e-mailed the company that sold it to me and let them know what I was going to do they said I did it the right way. But I see your point If they shipped it to me broken right from the start I'd want a second one shipped out right away. Midway is like that they made a mistake and sent another one out without any hesistation apologize and asked me when I could to please send the damaged one back. Know thats sevice

I know you specifically asked about a Bladetech, and I hate when people jump in and suggest something else when someone does that.

That said, I'm going to do that very thing-Comp Tac.

Fastest damn holster I ever used, and (since they use .125 kydex) the most durable, too.

Sorry.

I see why your not happy with CR speed thats flat out wrong !, I always try calling the place I made the purchase and speak with the owner or manger. If they will not try to make things right, I''ll ask for a refund and shop eles where. It this way of doing business that will eventual kill your reputationand and your business
Comp Tac holster) I did want one at first because it looked thicker and smaller at least from there web site pictures than the Blade Tech holster, but the DOH belt attachment plus Tec-Lok got me. I might be wrong but the Black Ice style looks smaller thn a standared Blade Tech holster. If I did my home work, I'll find out soon

I know pre ice doh the holster was the same as the stingray. Dollars to doughnuts it is the same with the DOH ICE. Only difference being the DOH bracket.
