 What choke for slugs?

I'm shooting a strictly shotgun only match this weekend and there are a few slug shots. I typically run a full choke to ensure I knock down any steel targets using bird shot, but was wondering if I can safely shoot slugs through a full choke or if I need to go with a more open one?

Shoot a modified choke, it will be more than enough for knocking steel with birdshot...do not shoot a slug through a full choke

The Remington value packs claim they can be shot through any choke, but give the best results with (I think) improved cylinder (it states it on the box.) I found my slugs were all over when shooting with a modified choke. Know your zero (or reasonable facsimile.)

I've found my best slug accuracy comes with Imp Cyl or Light Mod chokes. The tighter chokes, at least in my gun, cause erratic slug patterning. If at all possible, you should get to the range before the match and shoot a few to see where your gun is hitting; some shotguns shoot slugs to point of aim but most don't.

+1 My accuracy is best with IC from some slugs and LM with others

I use Mod, only cause I can't change chokes.
