room enrty/footwork CQB class info requested
I am a FT LEO, basic SWAT certified and have some good schools under my belt (Jeff Gonzales, Max Joseph, CSAT etc...)
I am a competent shooter with any weapon i pick up, i shoot very well static, good moving and my skills with a weapon, while not perfect, are very good(i am blessed with good eyes and coordination). I recently attended a low light CQCR instructors course and I found my room entry/clearing skills have seriously diminished. I am looking for a high end school, preferably one that focuses ONLY on footwork/room skills/angles etc.. rather than shooting. While i understand they go hand in hand i really need the footwork skills much more than the shooting. our basic SWAT covered some of this but not near enough. Any suggestions??
thanks, shawn

Take a look at LMS Defense. I'm not sure if you are going to find anything that doesn't involve shooting unless you go to Japan and attend a ninja school.

Contact SCAR Training Group. www.scar-training.us They can put together a fundamentals course for you and your department with the focus being the fundamentals.

thanks i will take a look at them as well
its not so much that i dont want to shoot, i just dont want the added expense of the ammo..this will be out of my own pocket.
If you send an email to SCAR, and explain what you are looking for, they can generally tell you if they can make it happen or not. If you do want to contact them, ask that the request go to A.J.
Check out SouthNarc's Armed Movement in Structures (AMIS) class. It's all FOF scenarios with the other students as role-players. I know off hand that he has one coming up June 4&5 in VA & will probably have another one in early Dec down in Phoenix. Last I heard there are spots open in the VA class. If you want some more info check out

thx for the reply and info
