Just wondering how you other trainers advertise your services. We have a website, business facebook page, and attended our first gunshow recently. We just had a commercial made as well. Any other suggestions?

Cool video.

I am not a instructor but I am willing to give you my 2 cents. You need to find your target base of customers (CWP holders, LEO, or MIL) and then plan ways to reach them.

As I am not LEO or MIL, I will only speak for CWP holders. A great way to reach us is at the local ranges, hanging up fliers, get to know a few CWP teacher (even offer them a pro bono class so they could speak first hand of your training) as these people are asked a lot about training, also look at some of the local ISPC and IDPA matches lots of shooters there looking to improve their skills.

Some things I would like to see from instructors are lower round counts ,sure its fun to blast 1500 rounds a day, but the cost really adds up to a lot of us. The second would be more CWP oriented classes, I liked the fact that you guys offer a women only class, but would like to see more instructor drawing from concealment instead of OWB holsters and tucked in shirts I think this would help to drive home the fact to your students about training how you would fight in a real situation.

I will start by saying that I do not own my company. I advertise for the company that I work for(Independence Firearms Training PV, AZ) by talking to people. Much the business that "we" do is also based largely on referral. The company owner told me that he attended a gun show once and got very little business out of the entire day. He said a lot of people chatted him up, but only one or two actually signed for training.
