I still havent totally worked out the details yet of how I wanna split things up and what not. No I will not be open carrying a slung AR sorry, (thatll be next time depending on today) I wil however have my blaster on my hip and an uzi slung on my back.

I keep my uzis in m60 spare barrel USGI leather or plether bags. If you've never seen one before, first of all they were clealry made to hold the uzi and somehow they started using them for m60 barrels but more importantly the thing just screams there a gun in there.

Its OD green in the gun shape with those knarly USGI zippers and the giant black stencil stamping across it.

NCPD I'm not so worried about since they gave me my own junior g man member card with my name on it from them along with Tin, plus there all good people (mostly). but i promise I wont use thatunless I really might be in big trouble at which point it clealry wont matter at all anyway.

NYSP also gave me a junior g man badge and creds, but frankly the way they police those roads, even gd himself wouldnt be able to help me if I get it from them.

so anyway wish me luck and godspeed on my journey, Id espicially apreciate specific prayers taht I dont get arrested doing somethign for afrcoms enjoyment

and one last thing. aimless buddy, i know its friday, but seirously keep you phone on for me just in case.. no serioulsy. RK your my next call.

anyway ill be at mitchell I hope so come say hi, ill be wearing either my ny hometown shirt or Ranstads militia not sure.

Does your motorcycle have saddlebgs?
I've carried a takedown rifle and IIRC a sub2k
to and from range, but it fit inside a harley road king saddlebags.
I dont see any reason if the motorcycle is your only transportation for that day
and your on your way to the range.

being that its crappy out and road is wet, I woud worry more of the road
and your safety rather than that issue.

I thought of encouraging him more but I do not want my local news to cut into the march madness games with Arfcommer on bike with FAL

It didn't go too good. He tried to make a run for the safety of the PA border but they got him.

Unfortunately guys, Im sorry to report i made it there and back without incident. I was only there a few minutes, so sorry for anyone who was there, I didn't have a chance to look around for anyone. the truth was I had business to do next door and figured what the hell might as well stop at the range and make the trip a little more exciting.

the weather combined with the brilliant drivers that flock to the meadowbrook and northern had me much more concerned than my cargo, which wasn't that surprising.

Unfortunately no, although I have the factory mounts on my beemer for the lockable hard saddlebags, I havent been able to cought up the dough to actually buy a pair, although the BMW bags specifically both look great and are very heavy duty, but whatever.

I ended up slinging the UZI arournd my shoulder with a trigger lock and then I pulled the bolt and my mags and ammo and threw them in an empty pelican which i locked and threw on the rear rack. No bubbles no troubles.

We should really get some semi regular shoots going on at mitchell field. Its a nice place to shoot.

This could have ended in a very different and not humorous fashion

why do you say this? I was within the law at all times?

In case it didn't make it clear, the weapon was separated from the ammo and both were stored in hard lockable containers at all times. I broke the uzi down and stored the receiver in a locked hard container with trigger lock all in a soft bag also locked.

Ammo was stored in a locked metal case and then mounted onto the rear luggage rack.

where did I mess up?

any person ... shall be entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he
may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry
such firearm if, during such transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any
ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment
of such transporting vehicle: Provided, That in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the
driver’s compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove
compartment or console.

locked, separated, not easily acessable by any means, traveling in a vehicle without a separate compartment from teh driver, therefore it was in locked containers and not in the glove box or console..?
