Pathfinder Operations, LLC will be hosting Dr. (Col. Ret) Dave Grossman, (Author of "On Killing," "On Combat," & "Warrior Mindset" among others) on October 20th, 2012. The Presentation will a full day and titled "The Bullet Proof Mind."
This is the brief description of the days program from his website:
"The Bulletproof Mind: Mental Preparation for Combat." Col. Grossman is one of the nation's leading law enforcement trainers. He is the author of the Pulitzer-nominated book, On Killing. He has served as a trainer and keynote speaker for all major national and international law enforcement training organizations (including: FLETC, IALEFI, ASLET, NTOA and PPCT) and he has taught the representatives of literally thousands of federal and regional agencies in the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

This program was only confirmed and committed to this afternoon by Pathfinder Ops and Dr. Grossman. Therefore only the date of the event is known at this time. The exact venue and cost of attendance will be announced in the VERY near future. The location for the event will most likely be Oneonta, NY or the immediately surrounding locations depending which venue I can secure.
I just wanted to get this on your "radar" for the purposes of planning, travel, lodging etc.

I attended this seminar last year out in Utica. It was awesome, and I strongly encourage attendance.

Actually exactly the opposite is true. When i was on the phone with them they asked who I intended to target for the event.
I do a fair amount of work with the L.E. & military community and stated that to them.
The very specific response was that the "Colonel" really wants to encourage the "civilian CCW community involvment."
This should not be a surprise since the whole "Sheep, Sheepdog, Wolves" concept he speaks about is not specific to the L.E. Community, but to all who choose to carry for the purpose of self defense AND the defense of others.
There is a video on the US Conceal Carry site that summarizes the concept and is the summary of the presentation we have scheduled for October. I'll add a link to that video later this morning.
