How Long are New CHL's Taking?

In class, they told us it takes about three weeks from when we submitted them. Well, I mailed mine six weeks ago. Suggestions?

have you checked online? they'll show status but it's not really detailed.

My students are report averages of 6 weeks to two months. Some less some more.

It seems like mine was about 6 weeks. Check online for your status.

mine took 3 weeks right after thanksgiving. G/F's took 6 weeks and she mailed her's 3 days after mine.

I didn't know I could check online. I just checked and it shows it was mailed, but doesn't say when. I guess I'll wait another few days before calling. Thanks guys!

They've had mine 5 weeks or so. Still says background is under review. Same for the wife.

My friend put a call in to check the status of his after it had been about the "average time", wound up sweet talking the nice lady that answered the phone and she cleared it the same day. I assume it was just waiting for some final check and she just grabbed it and stuck it through, but it never hurts to be nice to the people on the phone...

They got my info on the 2nd. Still waiting. 6 weeks is nothing. When I got my last one, it was 3 months.

I have a feeling that there is another "run" on them. Back right after the 08 elections I heard of wait times of 6 months or better. When I got mine in '10 it took exactly 21 days from the time I placed my packet in the mail untill I had plastic in my hands.

24 days for mine
the online thing helped me to make sure the paperwork was done right etc.... and gave me something to check every hour.

Glad I'm not the only one who checks a lot. 34 days from mailing and it finally shows background complete yesterday and manufacturing today. Was hoping for mailed today but no such luck!

It should say what stage your in on their website
Mine took 4 weeks from the time I mailed it, but my father’s took almost 2 months

Dont put all of your faith in in the status updates. Mine said it was still processing even though I had already received my plastic.
