Things for a single dude to do in Toronto?
I can fly up there and back to Texas for $176. So figure I may make a trip since it's so freakin' cheap.
Was wondering what would be some good/cool things to do in the area, single guy stuff.
Not into bars or clubs. Museums and that sort of stuff would be cool. Any zoos?
How about dinner up in the tower thing, easy enough to do alone?
I see there are some casinos around Niagra
Hi Dude,
I'm a New Yorker who married a Canadian girl. I've been living in TO for years.
First of all, forget about bringing any long gun with you, unless you want to be stuck in paperwork for ages.
Forget about bringing any handgun with you. Period. The red tape is impossible.
Keep in mind that Canadians cannot carry handgun, and Toronto is at least as gun unfriendly as Chicago. The mayor and most of the city council are socialist putzes. Only a few CCW permits exist in the entire country––for judges, prosecutors and a few bikers who flipped. So, we have gang bangers shooting up parts of the city, but we cannot defend ourselves. The socialists are busy running the town into the ground, but it's still a relatively clean, safe place. I'm here mainly because it is probably the best place in the world to bring up kids. Mine are grown now.
That said, it's a good place for a solo guy to visit. The weather has been chilly––highs around sixty-five to seventy with lows around fifty, so bring some outerwear if you are used to Texas heat.
Toronto is right up there with Chicago in size, and it's the most multicultural city in the world. It's fairly compact with a subway system that gets you to the key tourist spots. You can spend it has more Italians than in any other city outside of Milan or Rome. You walk through a Korean neighbourhood and on the next block find yourself in an Iranian neighbourhood. Then, you can head out to Scarborough and have Sri Lankan lunch. Just as an example, mind you.

PM me if you want.
Just some addenda,
You probably should take the 90 min drive to Niagara Falls.
If you want to see a neat casino, try Casinorama––run by native people, north of T.O.
Hey, I almost forgot.
New rules:
You'll need a passport to get back into The States.
The Royal Ontario Museum is pretty cool;

Ontario Science Centre (massive place, take you more than a day to see all of it);

There is an area known as the Beach (or beaches) which has shops and restaurants, parks, and is down by the lake. Nice place to walk around.
Metro Toronto Zoo is actual not bad. They have some really nice exhibits set up, but it is in the far east end of the city;

If you go to Niagara, take the time to go to Niagara on the lake. Much nicer than Niagara which is loaded with tourist trap type places. They also have wineries close by if you are into that.
Hookers and Blow?
