Online gun sales through Bud's shipping to NJ - Sales tax?

I'm looking to purchase a new handgun, possibly online through Bud's Gun Shop. They will ship the firearm free to my local FFL. Do I pay any sales tax for this purchase through Bud's? Do I pay NJ sales tax at my local FFL? I would like to avoid sales tax if possible.

Any ideas or experience?

No sales tax from Buds, you DO however have to pay Tax on the NICS fee..i'm not sure if the transfer fee is taxed as well.

My Mosin came from Buds. Took 3 days. I guess it is luck of the draw.
Fees for Services are taxable in NJ. If your FFL charges for his services, he is supposed to collect tax.
Going rates in NA are: $45 for pistol and $35 and rifle, including NICS. Total cost is 1.07 x that.
Still much cheaper than buying from any NJ storefront.

And - don't forget that by law, you are supposed to report the out-of-state purchase on your state income tax, and pay a "use tax" on that.

ETA:
State taxation in interstate commerce is unconstitutional. We just need someone with hairy-enough balls to challenge NJ in Federal court.

I ordered an AR from buds can shipped on time and no sales tax... I like buds :)

BTW buds goes have great prices.... Im a "Buy Local" guy if you can get the right price. But if not mail order is the way to go

Its been 8 days and Buds still hasnt shipped my pistol. Been sitting in the "shipping" status for a few days now. You cant even contact them until its been atleast 7 days of purchase. Going to call today if i get the chance. So frustrating

Has anyone dealt with Woodbury Outfitters online? They beat Buds "cash" price and shipping is reasonable, Bud's has free shipping. Local FFL's are all over the place with charges. I'm still up in the air.

There are two ways to ask the question:
1) How much do you charge for transferring a pistol?
2) Will you accept $45 (NICS included) for transferring a pistol? ($35 for a rifle)

The second will probably get you a better deal.
