Cheap FFL in Monmouth/Ocean County?
Looking to purchase a few stripped lowers from PSA for some AR projects but don't have an FFL that isn't looking to get like
$35 per lower (which seems expensive to me). Anyone know anyone that is either less expensive or won't hit me for each one?
Vinny Pugliese is in Freehold. Email is Vinco35@aol.com

What he said & say hi to Beau the dog!!
Maxwell
Vinny is charging me $48 for a pistol transfer. WTF is that about??
That's with the $15 NICS fee and tx.
www.legendfirearms.com in marlboro, Iras a stand up guy and his prices are great
Vinny charges 25 per gun the last time I checked which was like 3 yrs ago. So if you by 5 rifles normally an ffl would be 25 dollars for all. He is 25 dollars each so it would be 125 plus brady 15 dollars no matter how many guns you purchase only one brady charge plus tax. Always seemed kind of a raw deal to charge 25 each gun in the same transaction. I know it is more paperwork but I think a discount would be in order considering the amount of business he gets from private buyers and gun clubs. So you may be better off finding an ffl that does all guns for one price like 35 dollars.
Sportsman's Shanty in Jackson, off of 195 (exit 23?). The mom and pop store charges $35 for one gun or three w/ nics.

Transfer fee was always per gun with every FFL I've ever dealt with. A dealer that charges flat rate would be nice, but is definitely not the norm.

Does anyone want to OWN the responsibilities of maintaining a post to be "STICKY" for the most reasonable transfers in NNJ, CNJ and SNJ?
Anyone? Bueller?
If you're looking for a cheap FFL in monmouth/ocean county... you might as well be looking for a leprechaun or a unicorn, because a cheap FFL's in those parts are just as mythical... and just as impossible to find.
Good luck with that though.

It's all relative. $25-35 for a transfer is cheap when there are stores charging $50-75 to do it. I know in free states it's not uncommon to find dealers who only charge $15-20 but unfortunately that's not the case in NJ.

Yep, that's the going rate in NJ anymore.
Tony at TJ Sporting Arms, 738 Route 9, Bayville, NJ 08721.
charges $20 per transfer
My experience in Burlco, the going rates for transfers are: $25-to-$30 for a rifle and $30-to-$35 for a pistol, plus $15 NICS, plus tax.
$48 for a pistol transfer = ($30 + $15) * 1.07. Sounds fair and within market pricing.
OP: find a small busienss man without a storefront. Keep the small guys in business, even it it cost you $5 or $10 more.
So instead of doing something about it lets just sit around in our coffee clutch and bitch and moan about what you can't do in NJ or how much it costs with the sport to get the guns you really want plus a carry permit plus getting rid of the totally unneeded pistol permit which is a throughback before the brady bill that costs you even more money when you pay the per gun xfer. By the way Vinny started as one transfer charge for as many guns as you bought. Pay the fees boys pay the fees boys pay the fees boys and say that's how I always remember it. instead of changing it. By the way anyone want an IMI UZI 16 inch. oh tht's right No Uzi's for you. someone must know what you need better then you

I have been dealing with Vinny for years. I think it's not about the extra couple of dollars but the convenience and service that you get.
Sorry, put a bad taste in my mouth when he owns a 7000 dollar german shepard but you people will bitch and moan abot the fees to get that stupid firearms id card. You already paid for one. It is called your drivers lic. and the 2 dollars for the pistol permit but you have to get your id card renewed and you need new fingerprints so to always buy a pistol you not only have to add vinny's per gun price but the 70 or so dollars to get checked out by the state again. When is it going to sink in.
And then your last 2 fearless leaders Ji mcgreevy, well we all know about his man love. How much do you think his resignation cost and the new election cost the tax payers. Then you have Corzine, who is an alleged croock and stole money. How much money did he steal from the NJ taxpayers and give to his friends in sweetheart deals and no show jobs. but you will sit there and moan about your gun fees and defend a person doing the same thing as these to nuts. Well, Tom any quipy comebacks with over 13000 posts. sorry 14000. It was 13000 at the bedining of the week.

1. What the hell are you blathering about?
2. As you obviously have NO idea what you're talking about (fingerprints each time to buy a pistol? try again), please STFU and worry about your own state.
And as for you comments on an FFL charging what you perceive to be too much - what are you, a communist? He can charge whatever he wants (regardless of what other amenities or luxuries, or canines for that matter, he chooses to buy for himself) - and the consumers in the free market are free to choose to either pay it, or seek services elsewhere. "He's rich, so he shouldn't charge so much" sounds like it came straight out of the mouth of our Dear Leader. So, I ask again, what are you, a communist?
Hey dogtop. Trying to figure you out. Are you NV or NJ?
ETA: You are on your 22nd post and like almost half of them are rants in the NJ Home Town Forum.
Both. I had to live with the idiotic laws in NJ. I have dealt with Vinny. I have dealt with tom and I have dealt with my local police dept who required a background redo very 2 yrs. I misspoke and made it sound everytime. My mistake. I unlike I think alot of NJ gun enthusiasts have correspondence to prove I tried to do something about it. Uzi anyone. Oh sorry I will have to sell it to a non-commie state. If everyone doesn't have to have the background check every 2 years it just goes to show that the police are in charge of your 2nd amendment rights. Not you or your federal rep. Tom and I are private and non of anyone's business except mine and his. Hope that answers your inane questions and comments. Now stop fixateing on me and go get your 2nd amend right back.
Enough said on this subject or are we going to keep going?

Got that right!
dogtop,
To be frank with you, I have little abide for escapees who come back to talk shit on our forum. If you were good-natured about it, we could have fun and share in your enthusiasm for your new-found freedoms. But you bring ill-will, meanness, and you are consistently WRONG in your assertions about how miserable life is in NJ for shooters.
How 'bout you go try to make some friends on NV's HTF?
sadly dogtop is right.
if you think 48 dollar transfer is bad, apply for a FFL. rent buy or build a shop.
PRAY that the NJSP, Local Chief will allow it, hope your NJ neighbors don't petition to close you
down before you even open, deal with ATF, and NJSP everytime they knock on your door to ''check'' you
for Compliance.... o yea.. grease the Zoning Officer...lol
48 don't look so bad now huh ?

He's been officially warned.
If I miss any of his unwanted tripe, please bring it to my attention. Thank you.
