New gun shop and range opens in Randolph
Saturday 11/19 was the first day for RTSP in Randolph on Rt10.
Nine port 25 yard indoor range, can shoot rifles and shotguns in two lanes. Some rental handguns available.
New stock is pretty sparse but, hey, they just opened.
Randolph?? Where is Randolph? Anything north of trenton is like NYC.
name of place and or address?

The website hasn't been updated, but they're fully open now. A buddy of mine and I checked the place out last week, and he picked up a membership. The place looks really nice, and I predict it will start taking away a bunch of business from Bullet Hole (the only other public range in the NNJ area). First, there's plenty of parking. Second, you don't feel like you should still be carrying when navigating the parking lot. Third, you can inhale while on the line and not contact your neighbor.
I called today $20.00 per hour for handguns and $25.00 for rifles and shotguns. Bullet hole is cheaper but if I do not have to deal with assholes, maybe priceless.

i agree but with it being 5 minutes from me and bullet hole being 45 minutes away it is worth the difference in the time and gas saved.
I'm a member at RTSP and paid the 250 presale price. It's really nice, way better than the bullet hole, and the guys don't seem like assholes at all. It's 16 miles from my house and well worth it. I did add on the rifle price for 75 bucks even though I belong to cherry ridge. It coule possibly be a long cold winter and I'l lhave to break out my favorite black rifle or my new AK74 for a few rounds indoors.
Good place and not a lot more than BH, but much better.
Stopped in there yeasterday to look around, as everyone has stated seemed nice.
News to me they are building rooms behind the range for Simunitions, they are going to be offereing practicle excercises for civilian and law enforcement. They will supply Glock 17's simunitions but if you had your own you could bring it.
I signed up for a membership there and shot at their soft-opening. Brand spanking new range and nice folks. I'm super glad they moved in, and that I now have a range 10 minutes from my house.
The only gripes I have are the minor bummer of having to rent a second lane to bring a guest/new shooter, and the major bummer of no steel cased ammo.
I went to the new range today to check it out. Very nice and big but you only have nine lanes. Very good lighting in the range. Modern target system you can tell how far the paper target is. It can also rotate side ways. The price for the range is 20.00 per hour for hand guns and 25 for rifle. Max per lane is 3 people 10 each extra person so 2 people $30.00 3 people $40.00. ammo in my opion a little pricey. I reload and cast my own ammo. The staff are helpfull for now. You have to watch a safety video before you can use the range which is a good idea. only draw back is that It's too far for me to go on a regular basis but worth it. Parking is not an issue since this place has plenty of parking in the lot. So check it out and post it here.
Stopped there today. What a nice place ! The service was great. There were a couple of customers doing bussiness so I had to wait. The counterpersons waved, "I'll be right with you sir" Everybody smiling, polite and professional. Got my turn and asker about some AR small parts. Nothing in yet but they are still growing. made two minutes of talk, Thanked them for their time and left.
This place has potential. I'll be going back ! If you live in the area do yourself a favor and stick your head in.
I took my in-laws to RTSP on Tuesday to shoot the .30-30 and M4gery.
You fill out 1 page of info, initial 2 pages of waivers and disclaimers, take a digital photo, and watch an 8-minute safety video in their classroom.
$25 for the lane, plus $10 each for the in-laws. Not as cheap as Sunset Hill, but indoors...warm...close to home...counted for a lot that evening.
The staff was polite and friendly, free use of high-end Peltor hearing protection for the in-laws was a bonus.
The Stag/Model-1 mutt rifle has been sitting for nearly 2 years, I just pulled & CLP'd the bolt carrier group and it fired 110+ rounds with zero jams.
