Ballistic FTE for the iphone
Just down loaded this, looks a good app, even a mathematical chimp like me can use it.
Hopefully it'll help with my zeroing session this weekend.
I got STRELOK - they have android and iPhone versions.
Free and easy to use.
There's a few to choose from, this was recommended.
Being used to shooting a hmr I've obviously never needed a ballistic calculator.
The only issue i have with it is that the HUD won't go to ranges beyond 275 yards for loads that have been saved as favourites.
Bradders posted this and its good info for those who think Iphones are the work of the devil

Maybe A1Baz is entering the wrong parameters for his HMR

Software and other people's figures will get you on paper, that at is all.
The rest is down to you to correct for the conditions on the day.
The good thing about CSR is we have to figure out our settings for the match using the sighters available and previous experience etc. and sometimes we all get it wrong.
At the end of the day the person that wins is the one who made the least mistakes on the day.
All electronic gadgets and gizmos are banned from the firing point - and long may it remain so.
Use your phone, 5.11 watch, supercomputer, WHY, the night before. Not on the firing point.
Incidentally, Mark's figures should see you on paper with a 7.62 shooting NATO rounds too...

Yep,
Sticky tape and felt tip pen and write them on the gun
