The U.K. should be reasonable and negociate with Argentina . . .

-concerning Argentina's failure to pay war reparations to the U.K. for unprovoked aggression in 1982.

The cost of replacing HMS Sheffield and HMS Coventry must have totaled several hundred million pounds. Further, Argentina has not compensated the families of the soldiers and civilains killed. Not to mention, the three Mk. 8 Mod 4 torpedoes required to sink the Belgrano. Argentina must pay for those too. Of course, as a pre-condition, Argentina's current boycott must also cease immediately, as there is no justification for such hostile economic acts.

Under these circumstances, I support "negotiations."

What this bloke said!

They should also pay damages to the relatives of victims of the holocaust for allowing Nazis to live in Argentina after WWII

Damn right!
I bet if you twist your CBR up too much down there you'll end up half way to Argentina before you can put the anchors on!

I notice ARFcom pander to the south americans by calling the location "Falkland Islands (Malvinas)".

Not sure what the bit in brackets is, we don't recognise that name over here.

And while we are at it, can we have a look at the mysterious case of the batch of blank Argie passports sold by their GOVT to the SS in 1943 ??

I agree with CBR, Argentina alone is responsible for the deaths of approx 1000 dead (both British and Argentinian), about twice that wounded and maimed, the loss of many ships (including their own Belgrano and that Sub that got KO'd by a feckin' helicopter in S Georgia) several UK aircraft and about 60 of their own.
Let's not forget they are also responsible for the deaths of countless thousands of their own countrymen.

Kirschner or whatever her name is better learn that if she carries on her political career may be short lived if she picks a fight with Britain.
It didn't work out for Galtieri and his mates.

A misquote I'm sure but: Those who don't learn from history are destined to repeat it.
