I'm asking this question not out of curiosity but because my sister is a student in Madrid. I am wondering what could happen there and if anybody has any suggestions. Her campus is at Avenida del Valle, 34 - 28003. But she lives a ways from campus and takes the metro to get there. Unfortunately I don't know were.

So, any advice? Economic or safety wise.

Basically Germany will be even more fcuekd than it already is, what the recession didn't accomplish, the saving of the pipe dream currency called the €uro, should achieve.

Sorry, back on topic. Being anywhere when their country is going down the tubes isn't very wise.

I'll grant asylum to your sister in Switzerland !!! we've go at good economic situation compared to other european countries, and I've got plenty of guns and ammo for repelling all the ones who would take advantage of our position.

Well... the economic situation is not very good around here and seems like the crisis it´s here to stay for at least a couple of years, also there´s a lot of unemployed (around 22% and also is expected to get up to 30% ).... but I wont expect any social problem... might be more robberys but more in the country side and other small towns... but she´s in Madrid, not at trouble neighborhood... actually she´s 10 min from my job, and it´s a nice place.....

I really think you shouldn´t worry at all.... at least at this moment.... I´m married with a baby boy, and believe me that I´m not worry at all....

Anyway, if you need any other info, feel free to contact me.
